Onyx is associated with a wonderful myth. While Venus was sleeping, Cupid would have cut her divine fingernails with one of his arrowheads and scattered the pieces on the floor. But because not a single part of a heavenly body should perish, the goddess of fate turned them into stones, known thereafter as Onyx.

VirtuesThe prime purpose of the creation of the gemstone was to ensure eternity and permanence. Onyx has always remained true to its roots and accounts still today for perseverance and determination. Its bearers are provided with enough strength and will to undertake actions that will durably bear fruit.
