Quartz takes is name from the Greek ‘krustallos’, meaning ice, for it was long believed that these rock crystals were frozen ice formed by the gods. Later, from the Middle Ages onwards, Quartz stuck to its divine legacy as it was used as a crystal ball to predict future. Among the amazing variety of this crystal, Smoky Quartz is a brown transparent quartz famous for atypical faceted cuts.
True to its clarity and transparency, Quartz is alleged to enhance conscious awakening and overdeveloped perception. Due to its fresh and icy appearance, it is also believed to cleanse and energize both mind and body.
