History

Tourmaline is known as the gemstone of the rainbow as it can pride on incomparable array of colours. The reason is to be found in an Egyptian legend whereby Tourmaline would have crossed over a rainbow while traveling up from the centre of the Earth, hence absorbing all of its colours. As a matter of fact, Tourmaline has often more than one colour, and also changes hues depending of the nature of the light, whether natural or artificial.
